The Service League welcomes the incomparable academic entertainer Barbara Rinella, as she presents John Burnham Schwartz' THE COMMONER. Based on the life of the current Empress of Japan, this work of fiction is the story of the first commoner to marry into the Japanese royal family. Barbara's intriguing dramatization of Haruko will touch on themes of love, marriage, parents, privilege, dreams and destiny.
